    Remember that most DJ nights tend to be once a month.  There are tons of 
them, though.  And the real hits get mixed in with the songs that are hits 
to that crowd.  And then other songs that keep people moving.  Remember, not 
everyone in the crowd will know even something like The Creation or The 
Equals, to name a few. Heck, many won't even know something by Bobby Fuller, 
unless it's one of two songs.  So, while *you* may know lots of the songs, 
your friends might not.  Like I said, it's just as much about socializing, 
but with good music.  Even when I used to make tapes for parties, I'd throw 
on a couple songs people would know and love, a few they might've heard, and 
a couple they might not know, but would probably enjoy.  Personally, I think 
it helps to have the hits in there as reference points.

    Sure...But there's nothing like that big rush to the dance floor when a 
hit - be it an actual hit or one that's a hit to the audience - starts 
blasting out.  There have been DJ parties I've been at when at 4 AM, The 
Sunrays' "I Live For The Sun" comes on and EVERYONE knows it and goes 
absolutely insane.
