Well last night was my last NEON NITE at the CANTAB for awhile. I want to thank the bands that played and the friends and acquaintances that rocked. I said I should retire more often cos the crowd size was impressive considering holidays parties and impending inclement weather.(Both Brett Milano and Lisa Conolly had parties that night so we took a hit that way.)The bands sounded great from mowe to Lady Kensington and the Beatlords to Lyres to Classic Ruins with my sidekick,Billy Borgioli. I'd like to work at the CANTAB again in the spring particularly if Mickey Bliss would like to do a 1 year anniversary of our MEMORIAL MELTDOWN-a two day show with 24 bands. LUV & SMOOCHES,MISS NEON OXOX...(who is this bgoubler on utube and why is he slagging Lyres? If anyone knows him,forward this to him-BG,I've been working with Lyres and specifically,Jeff Conolly for quite awhile. You can always count on him and the band to give 100% plus. Jeff has never cancelled a gig that I know of...he is an intensely loyal person. After booking him over a year when someone asked him to play New Year's Eve,he said "You have to ask Nancy!" Did anyone out there see Lyres at the Cavestomp 2007? Sunday? November 4 was an amazing performance and an outstanding success-a sold out show filled with devoted Lyres admirers? who traveled from South Of The Border and across the Atlantic. Their performance which outshined many of the bands was right up there with Sonics.
