While I was just waiting on hold to order some subs from a local Toronto
chain (Mr Sub), they were playing the most bizarre on-hold music-
Einst|rzende Neubauten. Way too weird for this early in the day in the
condition I'm in.....
That's about as weird as hearing Throbbing Gristle while waiting on hold
to talk to a credit card company, which happened to a friend of mine
about 15 years ago (they were playing "Hamburger Lady" and interrupting
every little while with the "Your call is important to us. Please
continue to hold as all representatives are busy with other customers."
He recorded some of it and it's a TRULY surreal experience).
