At least three people have been attributed to that piano part at one  time or 
another: Arthur Greenslade (who seems the most likely candidate), Jon  Lord 
(who was hired for some 1964 Kinks tracks) and even Jimmy Page has been  listed 
in some places as the piano player on that song (Jimmy himself  has refuted 
this).
