It happens. While my grandpa would've been happy to
have seen Boudreau in person playing at Gilmore Field
just like he saw him play in person at Lakefront, the
Tribe's golden age wouldn't have been the same with a
different shortstop/manager. And no way would someone
as great as Boudreau have been sent to a minor league,
which the PCL was (despite interest in it on the West
Coast and the quality of playing being at major league
level....)
