I meant the "real" Chocolate Watchband that I used to see in 1966! I
know Dave Aquilar has been out playing again, but that is a band that
wasn't meant to exist out of their time.
In the early 70's Dave used to work for Lanceford Press, a publishing
company owned by the father of one of my brothers good friends. They
used to ask him about the Watchband, and he would just laugh and say no
one was interested, including himself. I still kick myself for not
pulling out the Sean Tolby ledger page from the Discount Records house
accounts book. He owed a balance!
A few of those guys used to still come in the shop when I worked there
in 73+75. Aguilar, Sharkey from Syndicate Of Sound and others...
