Well, there was "Tab," which was kinda sorta diet coke, since it was
made by the Coke people and was a low-cal cola. That came out, per the
wikipedia, in 1963. And there was also "Diet Rite Cola" which came out
in 1958.

They both tasted so unbelievably foul, but were pretty successful.
"The legend that TaB stands for Totally Artificial Beverage is
unfounded and inaccurate."

To Bomp folks in the Greater L.A. area,

The hometown release party for Riot on Sunset Strip: Rock 'n' Roll's Last
Stand in Hollywood will happen on Thursday night, July 12 at Book Soup (8818
Sunset Boulevard, across from the old Tower Records building). Michael
Stuart-Ware of Love (DaCapo and Forever Changes drummer) and Jim Lowe & Mark
Tulin
of the Electric Prunes will be my special guests. There's a nice article about
the book in City Beat this week, check that out.

Hope you can make it, it will start at 7 p.m. and then go until 9 p.m.

Domenic Priore
