Subject: [bomp] A Question About THE BARRACUDAS

A while back (maybe ten years ago) I received tape from a friend who was an A&R
person in the late 7Ts, the cassette was marked The Barracudas 1978 Demos, I
think they might have been recorded for Island Records.? Does anybody know if
these have ever seen the light of day?? The one really unique track on it is
"Radios In Revolt" a version of which did appear on "The Big Gap"(Coyote - COR
022) but I am not sure if it is the same version and it is one of the few
records by The Barracudas that I am missing.? I recently burned the tape to
digital and I'll list the approximate times as I edited them below, can anybody
tell me if these are truly previously unknown recordings:

01. His Last Summer 4:08 no spoken word intro
02. Don't Let Go 2:59 a lot less Stoney
03. Neighborhood Girls 2:12 fairly close to the released version
04. Rendezvous 1:52
05. (I Wish It Could Be) 1965 Again 2:57 totally stripped down without the
Spectorish intro
06. Surfers Are Back 2:07 (no edit possible directly into)>
07 My Little Red Book 2:18 (total of 06&07 4:26)
08 On The Strip 2:35 none of the car racing sounds
09 Radios In Revolt
10 I Can't Pretend 2:17 more punky

total time: 25:49 of pure pop!

So who is the expert out there?

Matthew
