I'm not sure Iggy's explanation about Asheton's guitar technique has anything to do with it either.  I was 20-30 yards away from Watt and don't claim to have seen every detail, but it looked to me like he accidentally pulled the amplifier head down off one of his stacks, or it was knocked off somehow.  Looked like he continued to play most of the time, and maybe lent a free hand when he had one available, and a couple crew members scrambled to put it back together...the entire incident lasted a few seconds.  I'm not even sure he came unplugged at all.
   
  In my previous post, I meant to say that this is not the only (or most) ridiculous thing Michael Corcoran has written in the Austin American Statesman.  
   
  I believe Iggy when he says they don't play along with a tape, because I didn't hear anything that would make me think otherwise.  Corcoran's statement is based on almost nothing...anyone who's ever hung on a bass note with one hand while drinking a beer with the other knows this.


  
I'm not sure about his explanation. It's usually pretty obvious whether 
there's a bassist playing or a guitarist playing two parts.

I don't know the part in question, though and that's not taking into account 
effects or the sound level they were probably playing at, so anything's 
possible.
