While I'm glad I have this, I happen to agree with Dave's point. (Like him, however, I may change my mind as I start using it more.)
I *used* to run stuff from the old turntable I had in my bedroom to a pre-amp, then to my computer. The problem was that the stereo I had up there - which is where I would do my podcasting stuff - was pretty crappy. The speakers sucked big-time and the rest of the system was pretty lousy, too. For Christmas, I got some nice new speakers for my computer *and* this USB turntable. Add in the fact that there's a 1/8" stereo plug on the front of the Numark USB turntable and I can use it to run some other stuff through and into the computer.
