[bomp] If You Can Believe Your Eyes And Ears
A question:
Yesterday, for 75 cents, I bought a Mono copy of the Mamas and Papas' "If
You Can Believe Your Eyes And Ears" LP...I'd long wanted to buy a Mono copy of
this album but has hesitant to spend much on it, fearing it would not be a
real Mono mix but a "fold," as I suspect was the case with the Mono copies of
their second album. So 75 cents was a good price to take the chance. And it is
definitely a true Mono mix, not a "fold," and some songs were truly sounded
better/stronger to my ears than the stereo.
But...for anyone who already has it...Is it just me, or do some tracks on
the Mono album sound sped up? "Monday Monday" and "Straight Shooter" come to
mind as the ones that sounded a wee bit too fast compared to the way I'm used to
hearing those songs. Maybe others too, don't remember.
