I don't use a chorus either.
The appearance of that "underwater" guitar tone was the first sign that The Pretenders no longer rocked. I guess it was whoever replaced James Honeyman Scott, that guy must've listened to a Police album and decided he wanted to sound shitty too.
But I could probably invent a use for a chorus, whereas I can't imagine using a wah for anything but a doorstop.

guitarist I ever knew who liked the chorus effect tended to leave it on all the
time, for every friggin' song.
