I didn't think it was a takeoff  on that at all.  Really, it's just 
another in their Bad-Good-Best series. 

They just use a Wah-Wah pedal 'cuz it's the Wa-Wa market.  But you do 
hear them play through a Wah-Wah pedal.  (This is *not* going to get me 
interested, since I've never liked those things.)
