Fleagles Gig - Yahoo!! We go on at 11:15. Here's the skinny:

Who: Chupa Cobra, The Chairs of Perception, Fleagles, Donovan's Fairies, 
Backbiter, Motorcycle Black Madonnas, Upstart, Tequila Mockingbird.
What: The Blue Mask

Where: Mr. T's Bowl (5621 = Figueroa, Highland Park, Ca. 323-256-7561)

When: Oct. 28, 2005(4th Saturday of every month), Cover $5, doors 7:30pm

Why: The Power of Rock and Roll Compells you, that's why.

We are having a Halloween installment of The Blue Mask.  Bob Lee's wife, 
Elise, is taking over decorating duties and cupcake making.  This show 
starts early.  Backbiter is not playing last as usual.  According to 
Falling James in the LA Weekly's Best of LA issue we're the best Mask 
since the Masque!

Chupa Cobra formerly The Pervs.

 

The Chairs of Perception with members of Urinals/100 Flowers and Danbury 
Shakes play their catchy minimalist art punk.

 

The Fleagles with Edwin Lecher of Moist and Meaty and This is Edwin fame 
and Greg Wallace from The Electric Ferrets.

 

Donovan's Fairies fairwell gig.  LA's premier glam/punk band are playing 
their fairwell show. 

 

Backbiter may sneak a few scary tunes into their set.

 

Motorcycle Black Madonnas play a fine blend of Patti Smith, Stooges, 
Dylan and Velvets.

 

Upstart with the ubiquitous Bob Lee (Backbiter, Claw Hammer) on drums.

 

Tequila Mockingbird opens the show with a solo set.

 

Every Blue Mask show at Mr T's Bowl has been packed and we are having a 
blast doing them.  As usual, we control the music between bands as well 
(expect lots of 60's Punk, Ramones, Dictators, Dylan, Sonics, Sonic 
Youth, and even a little Heavy Metal thrown in for good measure).
