Decals has always been my fave of the two, probably for no other reason than that it was the one that i got first.

I admit I've only heard about half of Decals, but I'd say the first side of 
TMR alone justifies all the praise. What I've heard of Decals is good, it 
just isn't THAT good. "Frownland" is in the running for my favorite 
Beefheart song.
