[bomp] Alan Merrill - Merril 1
http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/alanmerrill9
I've been enjoying this reissue of Alan Merrill's first album, recorded
around 1968-70 in Japan before he moved to London to start the Arrows. The
style reminds me mostly of McCartney, and also of the Left Banke and
Merry-Go-Round in parts.
About the samples on that Web page, "Policy" is one of a couple of rockers
on the album, and I would say "Everyday All Night Stand" is one of the
second-best songs, but not even one of the best.
The CD itself looks and sounds good enough, with some brief liner notes as
on the aforementioned page.
Recommended for fans of vintage McCartpop!
