Tommy James has a lot of little oddities like that on his singles...First  
time I ever played the 'I Think We're Alone Now' album, I remember wondering  
during "Run Run Baby Run," what happened to all the vocal/harmony parts that are 
 on the chorus on the single. "Mirage" also has some extra vocal parts only 
on  the 45 and not on any of the albums/comps (even the mono  albums.)
