Speaking of garagepunk.com and the Mosquitos, they have a Mosquitos show
from 85 that's pretty impressive. They're not the first band from that crowd
who I'd like to hear a show from (every so often I check dimeadozen for
anything from that era. No luck), but I'd forgotten how good they were live.

It's ironic that, for me, the 80s WERE the bands I saw at the Dive, yet as
far as the various mp3 blogs and such are concerned, that time didn't exist.
I guess, looked at dispassionately, it was just one local scene out of many,
but at the time those shows were IT and I still think Dino Sorbello and
Shane Faubert, at the very least, were major talents. (Faubert is one of my
favorite songwriters, even if after more than 20 years, I'm still not sure
how to pronounce his name)
