I'd agree that rock n roll is often at its best when it's cheap shit (The
Mummies, Supercharger and bands of that ilk are examples). But there's cheap
shit and then there's garbage. Oasis is garbage- plain and simple. If I
stepped in something on the sidewalk that stunk as bad as Oasis, I'd burn my
shoes. No redeeming qualities to that crap at all and being over-hyped has
nothing to do with them being shite. And you'd have to be stretching the
definition of rock n roll to the breaking point to include Oasis.
