Safari Sam's might do to Spaceland what Amoeba did to Aron's, however,
unlike in the case of Aron's, I won't be that sad about Spaceland suffering
a similar fate
OR... is there enough fans of better music around now to support it all?
Doesn't Spaceland kind of run the Music Box Theater on Hollywood Blvd? There's a
chance that Safari Sam's could be providing an alternative to Spaceland, and
there's enough to go around now. You know, we can only hope. I've actually
booked a few shows at Spaceland, they were really fun... The Black Diamonds,
the Wondermints, DJ Senor Amor plus a reunion of the It's Happening Dancers (!)
in 1997... and another one when I brought the Daytonas over from Sweden... the
Neptunas opened, and someone else I've forgotten were on that bill.
