[bomp] Why is there so little BOMP traffic these days?
This is just one gal's opinion,I think it has never been the same since
someone tried to shut us down. Like I said before I thought we were shut down
because of a storm, that turned out to be only part true. Let's get going or we
let the culprit win. As for Sat,It was great to see Marty White and Asa Brebner
rocking out with Natalie Flanagan. Asa has out a great new album called
ABBEY LODE(please read the review in June's NOISE). There's a great cover of "Let
Bygones Be" an achingly gorgeous cow punk ballad in a Jason
Ringenberg(spelling?) vein. Next up was Fox Pass whose versions of "Wanda" and "Amtrack"
recaptured the wild abandon of youth. The songs off the new self titled album
where met with enthusiasm appreciation, but the response to the classics like
"Downtown Talk" was absolutely roaring. It was cool to see people rockin'
madly to the Fighting Cocks. I wanted to stay to see The Illegals starring Fred
Pineau and Ray Boy Hernandez, but as much I loved seeing all the shiny happy
people tearing it up to the hard rock stylings of the Fighting Cocks(fine
performers, just not my cup of tea style-wise!!!),I had to take off. I hope to
catch the Illegals and I will include a review here of their EP. Cheers y'all!!!
