i'm a FUCKIN DEAD MAN!!!!!!!
that is one of the great scenes of 90s cinema...just saw it on bravo a few
weeks ago. it may or may not be piss-poor revisionist history, i don't know,
but i always thought JFK was a pretty good movie.
the doors movie was a joke, though...such a great opportunity, too. stone did
an amazing job recreating the LOOK of the time...but the whole
jim-morrison-as-tragic-poet thing...?? uh, not hardly. that movie just gave a
lot of people even MORE reasons to hate the doors, which is too bad, cuz
underneath all of the hype and bull shit (and there was a LOT of hype and bull
shit), they were a pretty great band.
