Re: [bomp] The Decline(?) Of The Bomp List
that's a much more plausible explanation than the theory of a once-robust
list being brought to its knees by one crank poster. he wasn't even the
most annoying one (just the most persistent).
re-name the list? forgive the corporate speak, but 'bomp' is a valuable
brand name. why throw it away?

totally unique source for arcane musical and pop-cultural knowledge, but
also a social space where fans of such material could meet and gather.

and busy for me to keep up with with any regularity. i dig kopper's
garagepunk forums, but i still prefer a simple listserv that brings new
messages into my inbox.

garage/psych scene across the nation. no slam on the BLR, but that list
ain't it. i think it would take very littel work to bring this list back
to life. but the thing is, it needs to occupy a niche.

existence, i'll be here. i'm willing bet there's a core group of 10-20
people who will NEVER leave this list: blair, rocky & deena, david, the
rev, me....who else is still out there?

1998-2002ish. if anybody else is into a sustained effort at bomp CPR, i
am more than willing to give it a go. :)
