I don't remember exactly when Greg left. As I recall, it was more that
he lost interest. Early on, he was a heavy contributor to the list.
While that dropped off to almost nothing over time, he'd still pop up on
occasion. Eventually, yes, I guess he was gone, but... He was there for
a long time.
Personally, I think he left because the list didn't go in a direction he
was interested in. Greg once wrote that his original idea for this list
was for it to be something like a live version of Bomp magazine, where
people would write in letters and scene reports. Sadly, that never
happened. I tried to start something like that a few years ago, as a
YahooGroup called NoPlaceFast. The idea was that people would submit
articles and my co-moderator and I would act as editors. Unfortunately,
we got relatively few submissions.
