[bomp] Fuzz favorites

Hi everyone,
At the end of January I'll be doing a 6 hour special on the subject of 
"fuzz guitar" on the radio (WHRB 95.3FM) here in Boston. Any help 
regarding the history of the use of the fuzz box/pedal (first recordings 
etc.) would be much appreciated. Also, what are some of your favorite 
examples of the use of fuzz (including cases where the fuzz box is used 
on a bass or even sax) in recordings (from the 60's but also later)? What 
should I not miss?
