Re: [bomp] Re: favorite underground garage bands from the past 5 years

Gotta agree with the Rock on the Stoneage Hearts. But what? No Blue Van! I also have a new fave: The A-Sides. Very polished in the studio with lots of overdubs, ballsy live. Drummer plays like vintage Keith Moon. "Only Michelle" has a great vocal coda after the song proper. See 'em.

Satelliters (although not new, still putting out brilliant stuff)

Ugly Beats - perhaps the best new record of 2005

Les Terribles - mostly 60's covers en francais - magnifique!

Stoneage Hearts - almost return of the Stems!

Midways - from here in Toronto - always a great show - check out their first
CD (new one in the works)

Les Breastfeeders - from Quebec - great CD, still need to catch 'em live

Solarflares - still doin' it up right in the best Medway tradition of the
Prisoners

Squirrely.
