    Hello wretched refuse from BOMP!s teeming shores.  This week's broadcast
was only an hour long so that my pal (former 'MFO GM) Emily Ryan could have a
last show before moving on to Pittsburgh to study for her PhD at
Carnegie-Mellon.  She was one of the best radio engineers in the city anywhere
on the dial.  And my previous 3 C 'n' S benefits for MOFO would've been a far
tougher row to hoe without her assistance with publicity and stage management.
Sometimes the best birthday gifts you can get are the ones that you can give.
    Coffee 'n' Smokes will broadcasting for 6 consecutive Monday eves starting
8/15 at a one-time 10pm-Midnight slot then returning to 8-10pm 8/22 through
9/19.  The show will return to alternating weeks in October.
    The 4th Coffee 'n' Smokes Benefit for WMFO will be taking place at The
Abbey on Saturday September 24th with The World's Greatest Sinners, The Black
Clouds, The Subway Surfers, TV Eye, and The Mach 5 on the Main Stage and an
acoustic act to be determined on the Pub Stage.
