I caught JC on NPR yesterday, a repeat from Oct. He mentioned working for Columbia, I guess after he was fired from the Velvet Underground (I knew he did A&R for Warners, not Columbia--I guess that explains his Vintage Violence appearing on that). He said he did work for Paul Revere and Paul Simon (!) while there.
I wonder if he had anything to do with Terry Melcher's getting all those bassess onto the PR and the Byrds stuff?
