John's Children were working on songs and had, in their minds, the idea
that they would eventually get back into the studio and record these tracks
as part of a new album.  Sadly, JC fractured upon Bolan's departure and
exploded with a final dismal tour.  Everything is pretty much released now.

The shame is that the band might have made a decent album with Bolan on
board without Simon Napier-Bell.
