[bomp] New York dolls

Read this and several other positive reviews of recent NY Dolls
appearances on this list and just woandering what gives - I haven't seen
any of them, but I am a huge NY Dolls fan, their first album is one of my
favorite ever, and I have everything I have ever seen by them for sale
anywhere. However, I got the recent live CD from what I guess was their
first "comeback" show, at the Royal Festival Hall (?) in England, and I
thought it was terrible. No way will I ever listen to that disk again, it
really just left a bad taste in my mouth.

Now I know seeing bands live in person is better, and I'm sure David
Johansen would be fun to watch if he still vamping like back in the day,
but if it is a good performance I should be able to hear it on the audio
track, and I just didn't hear it. Am I missing something? Did anyone
else like this CD?
