Greetings!
I finally own the DVD. Day before yesterday, I purchased "What's New
Pussycat?" For many years, I told people that "The Knack and How to Get It" was my
all time favorite movie, but I think "What's New Pussycat" now took the
place of "The Knack and How to Get It" as my all time favorite movie. Why
shouldn't be? The movie is very psychedelic. It incorporate the best of 1960s mod
culture, the sexual revolution of the 1960s, the wonderful swinging sounds
of Burt Bacharach in regard to Dionne Warwick, Manfred Mann's version of "My
Little Red Book," and the neurotic humor of Woody Allen since he wrote the
screenplay. It is "the perfect movie" as far as I am concerned. I really dig
the brunette American stripper (played by Paula Prentiss) in the movie. I
couldn't help laughing my ass over the character of Dr. Fritz Franfebber played
by Peter Sellers. This guy is like Woody Allen meets Beatle Bob (or I would
say that Mike Meyers got the idea of Austin Powers from Dr. Fritz
Franfebber's character mixed with Michael James' character played by Peter O'Toole).
When I watch a movie like "What's New Pussycat?," it reminds me why I like the
fashion of the 1960s.
Cheers,
Melvin Little

television shows."
