[bomp] Duane Eddy in concert
The only time I saw Duane Eddy live was in '90 at a charity concert in the
Everly Brothers' hometown. Duane played a great set of his hits that was
faithful to the original records. I also got to meet him before the concert and got
some pix with him and had my A GO GO GO album signed, what a nice guy!
Artists like Link Wray, Dick Dale, Eric Burdon and Dylan have no respect for
their records or their audiences for that matter.
By the way I just got the Link Wray compilation "Law Of The Jungle"; some
interesting remixes but sme of the songs seem to fade out early.
A great underrated Dick Dale song is "Ho Dad Machine" from the "Checkered
Flag" LP. The town of Rhinelander, WI (which is famous for a mythical beast
called the "Ho Dag" or horse dog) should change the title to "Ho Dag Machine" and
adopt it as their theme song!
