[bomp] Heep

Uriah Heep, the poor man's Deep Purple.

Man, even thought I saw them open for Tull... I can not tell you anything
about them. I imagine them with viking helmets on and metal chest plates... my
memory of their "set" is more vague than anything. I remember, even then, my
pals and I were laughing about their whole schtick. By 1977, we'd seen the
Berlin Brats, the Quick, probably the Dickies and the Eyes and some of the
earlier Punk stuff... but we still liked "Tull," dinosaurs they may have been by
then. Anyway, Uriah Heep, they were, by then, just out of the blue... no one
had heard from them for years, they already seemed like from another era. Does
anyone have a clue about this group, for laughs sake? Did they have a big
song, I mean, how in the hell did I even know about them in the first place?
When was their big moment?
