Same here. I dont think Gilmore Stadium would have
been 
suitable for a major league team ; but there was
plenty of 
vacant land in the San Fernando Valley

Gilmore Stadium's site would have been great for a larger ballpark, though, 
when you consider the size of CBS Television City and the Grove.  The big 
problem... where to park?  Again, they do have a nice parking structure at the 
Grove now.  Geez, 56,000 people stadium in that part of town... hell, they'd have 
had to keep the Red Cars buzzin, imagine that.

L.A. is the most infrastucture-crippled city I've lived in, I must admit.  
Local politicians may not even be that corrupt sometimes, just DIMWITTED 
sloths.... that's a tradition here.
