[bomp] A Fab New Year's
Happy 2005, everybody. 2004 was quite good for me, hope it was for all of you
as well. Either way, may 2005 top it.
I remember one New Year's Day a long time ago listening to Dennis Elsas on
WNEW-FM...he sounded a little out of sorts...not terribly, he was holding up
fairly well...but suspicisons that he was still feeling the effects of the
previous evening's celebration were confirmed by his playlist....
He played "I Want To Hold Your Hand"...Then "Roll Over Beethoven"...then "I
Saw Her Standing There"..."Thank You Girl"..."This Boy"..."You Really Got A
Hold On Me"..."It Won't Be Long"...."Money"...
In other words...for those of you who don't have the Beatles' discography
memorized...he obviously just had 'Meet The Beatles' on one turntable, 'Beatles
2nd Album' on the other, and was just going back and forth cut by cut...he
obviously wasn't in a state of mind to do much work/thinking that day.
