You mean "she". (although I don't remember them having
any members named "Amery" or anything like that) There
weren't any male members in the Brood. I wouldn't
consider them to be an example of "good musicianship"
either. A fun band but verging on Shaggs level
musicianship. 

One of the most underrated drummers in rock history is
Ted McKenna of SAHB - I heard "There's No Lights on
the Christmas Tree, Mother, They're Burning Big Louie
Tonight!" on Indie 103.1 yesterday and was reminded of
him, although that song doesn't contain his best
drumming (I'd say "Vambo" from "The Impossible Dream"
contains his best)

Rat Scabies is up there as well - "New Rose" sums up
what punk drumming is all about. Rick Buckler is very
underrated - especially on "All Mod Cons" and "Setting
Sons", but on everything from the earliest stuff to
the last.
