Wednesday, Dec. 8: DEKE DICKERSON & THE ECCO-FONICS play the New World
Brewery, with openers THE UNREQUITED LOVES. Deke played in Untamed Youth
in the 80s (legendary surf-frat-garage-stomp midwestern group with many
recs on the Norton label, get 'em), and he now fronts the Ecco-Fonics
(Hightone released his latest, "My Name is Deke") and mixes hot guitar
pickin' with genre-twisting country r&b garage balladry 50s rocknroll

Weds, Dec. 8 at New World Brewery, 1313 E. Eighth Ave., Ybor City,
Tampa; $4 or $5; 9:30 p.m. (so y'know, don't get there after 10:15 or so

with Jeff Wood on drums), THE UNREQUITED LOVES (Tampa faves), and THEE
FOUR SHAMES (Orlando retro-pop-swank, 2 ex-hatebombs, great band). Sat.,
Dec. 18 at New World Brewery. yeah; 10 p.m., $3-$5.



Thursday Dec. 23: Dave Rat's Birthday/memorial show. if you didn't know
Dave you shoulda. His buddy Ed Lowery is putting together two tribute
shows for Dave. Lineups to be determined. Thursday Dec. 23 (Dave's
birthday) at New World Brewery, starts in evening, all $$s cleared go to
dave's family. Lots of great bands!! details TBA...



Sunday Dec. 26 (at New World, all new world edition):    "BOXING DAY
REBELLION" / Dave Rat Tribute II, with THE UNREQUITED LOVES and more.
Sunday Dec. 23 at New World, starts in afternoon and likely runs all
night, all $$s cleared go to dave's family. Lots of great bands etc.!!!

so it's like we never play anywhere but the new world brewery. there are
worse things, but it's as if we didn' t just play at the Emerald Bar,
that new place called the Bank, and huh maybe that's it. oh yeah, we're
(The Unrequited Loves) going to be playing Screw  Music Forever label
night in February (latest date announced was Feb. 5) at the New World
(!!!), with Home, Dumbwaiters and such screwmusic-friendlies as Baby
Robots, Leels, $h!tt@alker and more and more. doesn't mean we're
screwmusicforever material, we're still on your beloved facefirst
records, but friends need to stick together in these times.
