 sixties was in NY and based in
Buffalo. It was started by former members of the old Amerikadeutscher
Volksbund (German-American Bund) of the 30s/40s. 

By the way, I saw (part of) a one-hour documentary about this Facist thing in 
America on the History Channel, the footage of the Madison Square Garden 
rally.  My dad was getting really pissed off and upset and he wouldn't let me 
watch the rest of it (he was a soldier in WW II and his brother died in Germany).

The book to read is TRADING WITH THE ENEMY by Charles Higham, still in print 
and very inexpensive.
