We used to call each of those bands by the same name: 
"ForeignJourneyWagonLover."
 
When I worked at Anaheim Stadium, I worked at a concert (1982?), dig this, 
Foreinger, Loverboy, Scorpions, Iron Maiden.  WHOW!!!  Talk about being a 
martian at an event.  I got to watch the prime era of suck and people taking it all 
in.  

I remember around this time first hearing the phrase "Not my idea of a good 
time."  Have to admit, it really applied here.  Me?  I was enjoying the last 
moments of things like X playing Whisky a Go Go, prior to Elmer Valentine 
throwing in the towel that year.

Recently, Becky and I watched some Loverboy video for "Turn Me Loose" -- 
FRAME BY FRAME... it took over an hour to watch, but, we haven't laughed so hard 
in the 10 years we've been goin' out.  The reason we did this was to watch the 
faces the drummer made.  We have to thank VH1 for running this crap and 
"keeping it alive," by the way.
