Correct - Love were the first "underground" LA band to
get signed, before the Doors and Mothers
One thing that is constantly overlooked, though, is that the Seeds were the
first in this linneage.
Man, when people saw their hair on that first album cover, at the time it
came out... that was really unprecedented, their whole look, let alone sound.
Today, we lump the Seeds into the Nuggets category, but they preceded all
that stuff that's considered "classic rock," by Rolling Stone-mentality
critics... and the Seeds sold an ALBUM locally in L.A., at least.
