possible? In positive case, how can I do this?

I4m waiting for your answer .

Thank4s a lot,

No, As far as I know, 28800 baud is not possible. The nearest are
19200 and 38400.

Hi, Dan.....

How is life in Tigerland USA?

We have steady sales with the design-ins and existing customers but there is
not much electronics application work happening in Australia anyway ... we
are swamped with PC104 PC compatible in the embedded market from Taiwan. We
haqve a bit going on with AVR as a parallel to Tiger, and are selling quite
a lot there.

What prompted a sudden email push?

Cheers
Ed

Dear Ed:

Things are starting to pickup here after a 3-4 year slow down.

We're pushing the Tigers now because Wilke has filled out their line with the SBCs etc. And, its just time - we've have been sitting waiting for business and it just wasn't happening - so...

All the best,

Dan

Good on you ... I hope is bears fruit.

We have a Eurocard family of cards planned ... I know the Wilke ones, but we
are taking a bit different approach in that we are placing Phoenix screw
terminals down the front of the cards for field connection rather than use
the ribbon cables which we find customers HATE as they still need to go to a
screw terminal for EVERY ONE of the field connection on interfaces of their
own.

Our solution just neds a screwdriver and no PCB design to use.

Also we are using a lot of Xilinx gate arrays and the back-plane bus has
connections back to CPU functional pins so the various Wilke drivers still
work via the bus-rack architecture.

We will also have an LCD display/keyboard connected remotely via a short or
long CAT5 cable from the front of the CPU card which looks exactly like the
Wilke LCD and Keyboard so all Wilke drivers run remotely (done with Xilinx
gate array magic.)

We are desperately looking for the faster Tiger....?

Cheers
Ed

Unfortunately the IQ challenged individuals we are interfacing with are
unable to understand terms like 'jumper.' I know you can short them
together, but I'd like to be able to do this in software.

You can "hot-wire" it at the Tiger

The CTS can be "hot-wired at the Tiger so it has no effect. This means
taking the CTS line LOW, as discussed in the help files (do a search for
RS485 in V5 compiler, and the schematic shows pin 26 grounded.

Just ignore the RTS pin .... this pin cannot be recovered for other I/O
usage

On my Tiny Tiger I had to disable the hardware flow control by putting a
jumper from pin 42 (CT0) to pin 36 (RT0).

AHA! I did this already. The icom unit is NOT setting it's own RTS0 line
correctly. Excuse my lack of hardware weenie, but when I 'enable' the RTS
line on a standard com port I get a red LED on my breakout box. The RTS line
off of the icom unit is GREEN when running and RED when picking it's nose,
the exact opposite of what it is supposed to do. Jumpered rts0 and cts0
means nothing will come out of tx0 because rts0 is not being set correctly.

The icom 241 units appear to have a non-functioning RTS line from pin 20 on
their connector... Has anyone been able to get rts to set correctly on these
units?

Of course if we could turn on and off hardware flow control in software then
we wouldn't have to worry about the fact the RTS line is not getting set
correctly.

My icom 200 unit works exactly perfectly with nearly identical code.
Actually the serial portion of the code is exactly identical.

Hi,

I have a radio modem connected at 19200 8N1 to a economy tiger.

Is it possible to re-flash it using the delete_prog program?
(ie: I send a command, tiger issues delete_prog, IDE compiles and
downloads to tiger)

Cheers,
J.H

I was hoping to update it "live" (I know there are some risks involving
this, but I am trying to do this without much code)
I have only 128K of RAM, and when the program is approximately 105-110K
I think it will be hard...but I can try.

Thx

Hi,

I'm poking the bytes of a .tgc file to the flash, but the examples only
shows how to use a pre-defined file.

I've tried using only the starting address of the flash in the update_me
function, but with no luck. (I probably need to define a datalabel or
something)

Any examples and hints would be appreciated :-)

brgds,
J.H

Running restart_prog or update_me does not work when I have a gps
connected to serial 0,
it just goes into PC mode, but does not restart.

Any ideas?

Cheers,
