Is it possible to reflash the tiger remotely? (eg. transparent
radiomodems@19200, gms@9600)
and if so, how should the hardware be?

Cheers,
J.H

I read so many confusing things of adding pull up resistors or
pull down resistors to input ports that i would like to hear
your opinion.

I thought i dont't need any resistor at all because there are
build in pull up resistors already...

The prototype board shows all leds on input lines are active.
Can i connect this input line with ground in order to set it
to zero? Or do i have to use a resistor like 4k7 or 10k? I
tried to measure the current that is drawn without a resistor
and i think it was less than 1 mA.

All i want to do is to read some input lines that are either
open or shortend to ground with a jumper or a switch.

Please excuse this stupid question. I am more a programmer
than an electronics engineer.

Regards, Jens

Jens-Erich Lange,

As a standard practice, in my opinion as well as others, it is always a good
practice to use either a pull up or pull down resistor of 4.7K on your
input. Use a pull up resistor if your input is active when ground is
applied. Use a pull down resistor if your input goes high when active.
This just insures that the input is not "floating". Some devices have an
internal programmable pull up or pull down but in general good practice
states that you should use an external resistor.

Regards,
Joe Carson

Is there any document from which I can learn the
advantages and disadvantages of the Basic-Tiger over
DSP? Thanks.

Okan

I'm trying to find wire-wrap sockets that will fit both the Tiny-Tiger
and the expansion modules. I've played with several over the last couple
of months and all of the ones I can find don't have the right spacing. I
would really appreciate actual part numbers and sources if anyone has them!

Thanks,
Ray
