Beatnik Affectations Beatnik Affectations Yip Yip YIp YIp, [yes, that's *four* yips]... Awlrighty, let me dispense with the preliminary right away, save the best for last...Too Much Joy, eh, I've seen better, I've seen worse, I've been here, and I've been there, so what, so what, so what....So, Too Much Joy has quite the sense of humor, and they pretty much kept things interesting, "we had joy we had fun we had season's in the sun", rilly, yikes... Personally liked their anthem "To create, you must destroy"... Sound wise, tho it could been where we were standin, it didn't seem to cut it, kinda flat mix... Otherwise, they were kinda rut similar straight ahead power popsters with happy feet...But that's not why we're here tho, is it... REDD KROSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! KILLLER!!! The Kross was happenin tonight, BIGtime... Truly an amazing show... It had about 30 times more Ooomph, then the last show...The alwayz fun Kross wuz the alwayz fun, smash it up, pound it out, *KILLER* Kross tonight... Songs from Third Eye sounded bashing, and they threw in Linda Blair, Duece [kiss song], I Wuz Made For Loving You [another Kiss song], this go round, and they romped on em... They wuz most exceptionally grooved... Which is surprising since they had a different drummer, and they added Gere [Jere], on keys as well, since last time...Taking that into account, I'd say it was nothing less then Satanic, huh huh huh, how tight and F***ing Killer they were.... Last time it was more like, fun, smiling kinda show, cause they're fun smiling kinda volks... This time, They wuz showing them teeth, and chomping with em... Reminded why I dug em in the first place, they mix it up with the best of em, and really blast them tunes.... Bubblegum und Gasoline! YEEEha! Have to note that they Keys, Gere [Jere?] is a great addition, definately fits right in without a seam, and done does it up, and we'll note, yes, for JT und that Marriot dude, they did Funeral For A Friend+, and aced it in a big way, Killer Killer stuff.... All said, this show COOKED, and wuz mucho mucho fun, even if they wouldn't play Cease To Exist [a singalong tune, <hhh>.. [!!!!!].
