Ya can't really complain for only a buck, but Johnny Thunders never showed up at Continental Divide last nicht.. Two explanations we gots were that he was passed out backstage [?][in the kitchen], or he wuz in Japan.... Take your pick.... Other band Spider Junkies were fairly interesting, kinda power pop to the 4th degree, Cal alt pop meets NYC geetar grunge, nothing overwhelming but satisfactory.
Bummer Thunders didn't show, thanks to Joe from round here, I managed to get situated in *the* spot to see a show at the Divie, second table from de stage... But such is life... Did get nicely buzzed and was treated to some killer stories from Joe's buddy who's like a proffessor emeritus of the Max's KC era club scene... So the night most definately wasn't a total loss... Let's just hope Mr. Thunders manages to keep kicking, get's released from japan or de kitchen, and gets back here!
