Two nights, two shows, two different things, two of the same things, two messages, huh huh huh.

Naked Raygun still kicking killer. Solid like solid ain't never been. One killer cover of 'This is The Modern World' originally by the Jam, pretty much said it all. No Surf Combat, but a good bit of everything else. Thick, rolling, and reaching new hieghts. A band never to be missed, not to be missed still.

Opening for them, Primus, Fluid, und Rights of the Accussed. Rights of the Accussed were pitifull. A touch of punktude like this band Blizspeer, playing the same kind of 70's 'rock' poorly as them as well, totally pitifull. Cover of 'New Rose' originally by the damned, was enough to make one puke, tho it did sound better then their own miserable material.

Fluid, was muddy, like they were playing a different song, someone said sounded derivative of Dinasour Jr. I never heard DJ, so I thought they were pretty solid good heavy noise stuff. From Florida, sorta N Young fan kinda hair and backing attitude, they were definately interesting.

Primus was lame, tho many other people thought they were good, so I was bouncing around the pit giving them the finger, telling them they s*cked along with one other lone voice in the back. There's really nothing there, all the worse about three or four people, with these stupid smiles on telling me how killer they would be, somewhat dissapointing. Kinda the new funky 'heavy' sound *formula*.

Lemonheads/Redd Kross. Lemonheads were technically adept with the personality and expression of a shoe. One or two pretty killer songs, but for the most part they were too passive, kinda just blah blah laying back attitude.

REDD KROSS!! Tho the new album I felt was absolutely lame, and just didn't click or do nothing. I was still expecting something more live, something like they always had live, and at one time more on recording. I'll have to listen to the album again after hearing the songs live, they translated pretty well. Killer show. Definately a good fun time. A perpetual smile show, they're just too funny of a band. Killer killer killer musicians, who would probably well satisfy to the utmost fans of 70's kinda nadaness for its own sakes. I don't like that stuff. But Redd Kross doesn't just play the 70's/60ish scene, they rip through it like it's just so much butter. They didn't go back terribly far, no, 'Kill Someone You Hate' didn't show up on the set, huh huh huh. But neither did some of the more prominant things off Teen Babes From Monsanto(particularly Citadel, Duece, and Savior Machine), which was pretty killer, and quite a bit more happening then 'Third Eye' their new one, Teen Babes being a sign of things to come, tho we all hoped they wouldn't go as far as they did. The great part about it tho, as far as live goes, it didn't matter! If you're up for accessible stuff, if you liked anything about music in the early to middle 70's, you *owe* it to yourself to see Redd Kross, without a doubt. If you didn't like anything about the music of the early to mid 70's you also *owe* it to yourself to see Redd Kross, cause it's the freshest and best perspective you'll ever see on that sh*t and it's got everything the music of the early to mid 70's didn't have. Particularly a sense of humor and absurdity!

Fluid is not Rein Sanction from florida. Fluid is derivative of all the good music of the last 10 to 12 years, and done very well, tho there's nothing terribly new about them or fresh about them. Rein Sanction appears as Fluid in the NAKED RAYGUN/REDD KROSS message. Crossfiring neurons.
