Steal Food" "Ignore the White Culture" [ouch, ouch, ouch], wait... I'm holm now. Ok. 'Another saturday night and I aint got nobody, I got some money cause I just got paid', who was that? [ouch], damn cigarette. 'It is germany 1933: Revolt!' Boom de boom boom boom. What am I doing here? I don't know. Big blast of a night. Missing Foundation show? Flipper show? The ultimate bill from heck. A touch of bummer in there, but what the hey. Odd to say the least. It's not every 'saturday night' that I go see a few bands, two in particular, that I'm treated to such a *visual* evening. Paleface, eh, comsee comsaa. [laughing]. They were good backround music, but when people started ranking on *him* *he* kinda got bumbed out, I was feeling sorry, especially since it was after a halfway decent song, I was reading a free magazine at the time, and getting into the sound, background, very nice. So they finished up with Roger Manning, I think a diety of the anti-folk scene, joining them, not bad, not bad at all. Before, I walked in on the final notes of this folkie from [ouch, smoked that one down too far] heckle. Not my cup of tea, but definatly driven, definatly happening, engaging is the word, who was he.... let's see, Victor Bruce Godsey, alright, strumming, rapping, happening. I haven't even got to what was going on, sheesh, and I'm already up to line 28, HEY! Urban Squat Sqaud is on the radio, sound pretty miserable, er oo ah.

So, Missing Foundation. The draw, the show, the mayhem, the madness. Special precausions in effect, cause the only 2 or 3 other times Missing Foundation played, seems 15 minutes into their set, the club they were playing in was trashed, and such was it. Yes, the Missing Foundation, blamed by channel something for being a cult and causing the Tompkins Square Riot. Forget that the police went berserker then I ever was. Who is this, 'Please don't ask me how I've been getting off', damn radio, good song. Where was I. Missing Foundation. Peter Missing, the brain and 'fine line between pleasure and pain' radio again. Where was I. Peter Missing, turns out he's the *dude*, [laughing], I saw throw his drink in the face of the female lead singer of the Scum/punk/hc show's, best band, some few weeks ago. ICU, was that band, said singer was in attendance for the Missing Foundation Show, bopping to the beat, as she seems wont to do. Missing Foundation rails, brutalizes, screams, takes the hub of a wheel in a long steel pole and throws it against a metal bench, a percussionary additive to the 3 other drummers, sitting next to the bass player, and Mr. Peter Missing, no guitar. Wowsa. Then they shuffle that metal pole in the miked spring, for some effect. Echo, makes industrial sound like chipmunks, bleah. Real balls to the wall noise, wall to wall, punch the puppy, grinding, uplifting noise! The Radical Communist Party was in attendence. They're desperate what can I say. Well, Missing finished up, had to *see* them setting up, the 7 or so, Missing foundation's all over the stage, a little white trash S1W's, all hispanics, quite the striking image. But then they finished, up with, a person being dragged and kicked out of the club, kicked while he was on the floor too, pissed me off. Drummer #1 who nailed his set to the floor puking all over the place, striking image. MF "Ignore the white culture".. Then then, after having for them, gods gift of openers, FLIPPER came on. Told they only had 15 minutes, because there were200 peoples waiting outside for a HOUSE PARTY, disco baby, dance up the evening, nightcap, outasightcap. Well, FLIPPER proceeded to be pissed, and kick some butt, butt, butt. Missing Foundation, then Flipper has to be genious. Cause, Flipper isn't known for being melodic, and Missing foundation can set one up for wailing dogs to sound melodic. So consequently, Flipper sounded killer, and actually, I think they woulda no matter who played before them. Tight, angry (only 15 minutes, Mr. Lose suggested they just count it off, and actually went from 60-59-58 -57-52-53-52-51 to about 40) then they kicked into Get Away, which was quite the treat. But that was only the begining, because then they did, Sacrafice which is off one of the Maximum Rock and Roll Compilations, and it was killer. More killer stuff, tight, rolling, rocking, happening, music. Then they finished off with HaHaHaHa. Truly a special evening. One really wishes they had more then 20 minutes, but the dancers wanted to dance. We do hope they play again around here soon. Outside, when the departees from Missing Foundation, Flipper, integrated with the 200 or so, HOUSE PARTiers, never saw so many Greek letters in my life, seems frats are big in the HOUSE PARTiers. Was quite interesting. All in all line 19. All in all Flipper was Killer, and Missing Foundation managed to play a whole set, and thems two were killer. Great bill, minor distraction. It's gotta happen again. Tho, who knows when flipper'll be around again, and who know's if Missing Foundation will get through another set, picture 1st album killing Joke, and multiply by 900. That's the psychosis they pump up. [blah ramble blah blip click clack].
